We are excited to receive your applications for the MYNA 2021-2022 REC and Department Officer application process Insha’Allah!
Applications for the following positions are open to all youth who will be 19 years of age or younger as of September 6, 2021.
Regional Executive Committee (REC) Roles

REC Chair
The head of the regional executive committee. Responsible for leading their respective committees, and making sure the rest of the committee is operating smoothly and efficiently.
REC Program Chair
Main programmatic visionary of the committee. Responsible for creating and managing programs for initiatives/events that the REC puts on. Also responsible for contacting speakers for any events
REC Secretary
Logistical officer of the committee. Responsible for keeping the committee organized, as well as any logistics of the entire region. Takes minutes during meetings
REC Outreach Chair
Public Relations officer of the committee. Responsible for searching for and maintaining relationships with external organizations (schools, masjids, businesses) within the region
REC Finance Chair
Finance officer of the committee. Responsible for the management of money in the region, as well as creative methods to fundraise money for the organization.
Marketing Department Roles
Social Media Lead
Responsible for the creation, posting, and upkeep of all MYNA social media accounts. Will have complete creative control over all MYNA social media accounts.
Website Design Lead
Responsible for the creation, uploading, and upkeep of the MYNA websites. Will have complete creative control over the MYNA website.
Graphic Design Lead
Responsible for the creation of any MYNA graphics. Flyers, graphics, reports will be managed and created by the Graphic Designer
Blog Editor-In-Chief
Responsible for the upkeep of the MYNA Moments Blog. Responsible for creating or finding content to publish on the MYNA Moments Blog.
Publicity Chair
Responsible for telling MYNA’s “story.” Will be responsible for portraying MYNA in a positive light to the external world. Will also be responsible for sending any mass MYNA emails (announcements, MYNA newsletter, etc)
Photo/Video Lead
Will be responsible for taking and managing all digital photographs and videos. Complete creative control when it comes to videos and photos lies in the hand of the MYNA photographer/videographer.
Secretary Department Roles
Data Analytics Chair
Responsible for managing all MYNA data that comes in. Keeping track of the number of participants, the impact of our events, etc. Will also research into the best possible, modern day data tracking methods.
Volunteer Management Chair
Responsible for the management of all of MYNA’s volunteers. Will be responsible for onboarding new volunteers as well as the upkeep of the MYNA General Application.
Program Department Roles
Al-Huda Chair
The head of the committee responsible for the creation and management of the Al-Huda course, in conjunction with the Miftaah institute.
ISRAA Chair
The head of the committee responsible for the creation and management of MYNA’s all-girls online course, ISRAA.
Podcast Producer
The head of the committee responsible for the creation of MYNA’s podcast, We The Youth.
If you choose to apply, you will be required to submit 3 materials for the application:
1) REC/Department Officer Application, including all essays
2) Personal or MYNA-related Recommendation
3) Signed Parental Consent form (to be uploaded through the application form)
