Muslim Youth of North America and Muslim Youth of North America organizations (“Muslim Youth of North America,” “we,” or “our”) are committed to protecting your privacy. This SMS Messaging Privacy Policy (“Policy”) governs how we collect and use information about you in relation to Muslim Youth of North America text message marketing program(s) (the “Messaging Service”), which we make available to you through a third-party service provider.

 

By using the Messaging Service, you agree to the terms of this Policy. Muslim Youth of North America reserves the right, in our sole discretion, to modify or change this Policy at any time with or without prior notice to you. The date of the last update will be posted at the top of this Policy for your convenience. This Policy, and any changes, are effective as soon as posted and supersede any prior Policies. Your continued use of the Messaging Service following the posting of any changes to the Policy constitutes your full acceptance of those changes.

 

Collection of Information

Through your use of the Messaging Service, we will receive Personal Information through our third-party service provider. “Personal Information” is information that individually identifies you, such as your mobile phone number you provided when signing up for the Messaging Service, any user or screen name that you select in connection with the Messaging Service, any comments or feedback regarding the Messaging Service that you send to us, or any other information that you choose to include in messages you send through the Messaging Service. When you send messages via the Messaging Service, we will also collect your messaging history and any information included in those messages.

 

We may also collect Personal Information about you using cookies or similar technologies. Cookies are pieces of information that are stored by your browser on the hard drive or memory of your device. Cookies enable personalization of your experience on the Messaging Service (e.g., sending you personalized text messages such as shopping cart reminders).

If you participate in a contest, sweepstakes, research study, or email survey associated with the Messaging Service, we will collect basic contact information and any other information you choose to provide in connection with these activities. We will also collect your contact information if you contact us with questions about the Messaging Service or for customer service.

 

Use of Information

We use Personal Information to deliver, analyze, maintain and support the Messaging Service. We may also use Personal Information to enhance the Messaging Service features and customize and personalize your experiences on the Messaging Service.

 

Sharing of Information

Muslim Youth of North America will not rent or sell your Personal Information to other companies or individuals under any circomstances. SMS opt-in or phone numbers for the purpose of SMS are not being shared. We may use your Personal Information in any of the following limited circumstances:

  • We have your consent.

  • We need to enforce our Terms of Service.

  • We provide Personal Information to a company controlled by, or under common control with, Muslim Youth of North America for any purpose permitted by this Policy.

  • We transfer Personal Information about you if Muslim Youth of North America is, or its assets are, acquired by or merged with another company.

  • We believe disclosure of Personal Information is necessary or appropriate to: (i) comply with applicable law and legal processes; (ii) respond to requests from public and government authorities, including public and government authorities outside your country of residence; (iii) enforce a contract with us; (iv) protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property, and/or that of our affiliates, you or others; and (v) allow us to pursue available remedies or limit the damages that we may sustain.

 

From time to time, we may share aggregate or de-identified information about use of the Messaging Service and such aggregated or de-identified information may be shared with any third party, including advertisers, promotional partners, and sponsors.

 

Protection of Information

Muslim Youth of North America takes a variety of physical, technical, administrative, and organizational security measures based on the sensitivity of the information we collect to protect your Personal Information against accidental or unlawful destruction or accidental loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure or access. Unfortunately, no online activity can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. You should note that in using the Messaging Service, your information will travel through third-party infrastructures which are not under our control (such as a third-party provider’s SMS delivery platform or your carrier network). While we strive to protect your information against unauthorized use or disclosure, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you provide. By using the Messaging Service, you agree that Muslim Youth of North America  is not liable for any unintentional disclosure.

 

Children and Intended Audience

The Messaging Service is not intended for children under 13, and Muslim Youth of North America does not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13.

Children aged 13 or older should not submit any Personal Information without the permission of their parents or guardians. By using the Messaging Service, you are representing that you are at least 18, or that you are at least 13 years old and have your parents’ permission to use the service.

 

Muslim Youth of North America requires that users of the Messaging Service be limited to US residents only.

 

Retention of Information

We retain your Personal Information for as long as you participate in the Messaging Service or as needed to comply with applicable legal obligations. We will also retain and use your Personal Information as necessary to resolve disputes, protect us and our customers, and enforce our agreements.

 

Choices and Controls

Consent to receive automated marketing text messages is not a condition of any purchase. You can opt-out of receiving further commercial text messages via the Messaging Service by responding to any of our text messages with any of the following replies: STOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, or QUIT.

IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ THESE MUSLIM YOUTH OF NORTH AMERICAS SMS TERMS AND CONDITIONS (“TERMS”) CAREFULLY BEFORE SIGNING UP FOR THE MUSLIM YOUTH OF NORTH AMERICA INFO TEXT MESSAGING PROGRAM. BY SIGNING UP FOR THIS TEXT MESSAGING PROGRAM, YOU AGREE TO ABIDE BY AND BE BOUND TO THESE TERMS and you expressly consent to receive marketing or non-marketing text messages, as applicable, from Muslim Youth of North America organization (together, “Muslim Youth of North America”), and others texting on behalf of Muslim Youth of North America, including text messages made with an automatic telephone dialing system (“autodialer”), at the telephone number(s) that you provide.

 

You may opt-out of these communications at any time. Consent to receive marketing text messages is not required as a condition of purchasing any goods or services. Message frequency may vary. By signing up, you are confirming you are over the age of 13.

 

Program Description

Muslim Youth of North America, through third-party service providers, may use an autodialer to deliver text messages to you. Muslim Youth of North America text messages are intended to provide you with marketing and promotional information regarding Muslim Youth of North America.

COST

Message and data rates may apply to each text message sent or received in connection with Muslim Youth of North America text messages, as provided in your mobile telephone service rate plan (please contact your mobile telephone carrier for pricing plans), in addition to any applicable roaming charges. Muslim Youth of North America  does not impose a separate fee for sending Muslim Youth of North America text messages; however, you are responsible for any fees imposed by your mobile carrier of any kind whatsoever.

 

STOP Information

Text STOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, or QUIT to 333333 to stop receiving texts from the Muslim Youth of North America (you will receive a confirmation text).

Your Mobile Telephone Number

You represent that you are the account holder for the mobile telephone number(s) that you enroll. You are responsible for notifying Muslim Youth of North America immediately if you change your mobile telephone number. You may notify Muslim Youth of North America of a number change by contacting Customer Care at (317) 497 – 5823.

 

You agree to indemnify Muslim Youth of North America in full for all claims, expenses, and damages related to or caused in whole or in part by your failure to notify Muslim Youth of North America if you change your telephone number including, but not limited to, all claims, expenses, and damages related to or arising under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

 

Access or Delivery to Mobile Network is Not Guaranteed

It is your responsibility to determine if your mobile carrier supports text messaging and if your mobile device is capable of receiving text messages. Your receipt of Muslim Youth of North America text messages is subject to the terms and conditions of your agreement(s) with your mobile carrier.

 

Delivery of information and content to a mobile device may fail due to a variety of circumstances or conditions. You understand and acknowledge that network services, including but not limited to mobile network services, are outside of Muslim Youth of North Americas’ control, and Muslim Youth of North America is not responsible or liable for issues arising from such network services (e.g., delayed or undelivered messages or the security of any messages).

Changes in SMS Terms and Conditions

We may modify these Terms from time to time with or without notice to you. Unless we indicate otherwise, modifications will be effective as of the date they are posted on this page or any successor page and supersede any prior Terms. You should look at the Terms regularly. Your continued opt-in to receive messages from Muslim Youth of North America following any changes to these Terms will constitute your acceptance of such changes. If you wish to opt out receiving communications from Muslim Youth of North America under the updated Terms, you may text STOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, or QUIT to 333333 (you will receive a confirmation text).
